LORIE CULP
Business Manager

Lorie Culp joined MGPA in 2016 to support corporate restructuring and other business-related matters. With a focus on growth and expansion, she re-established and has since managed the marketing department. Lorie has led all RFQ proposal preparations and submittals. She conducted an in-depth analysis of the firm’s educational project history to showcase MGPA’s diverse experience, ranging from small modernization projects to full campus designs. She motivated the team to enhance photo documentation of all projects, enabling MGPA to excel in future proposals. Her efforts have led to numerous interviews with new school districts, resulting in the acquisition of multiple new K-12 clients. Additionally, Lorie has prepared all proposals for existing school district clients, ensuring continued relationships and selection of their Architectural Pool. Her contributions have resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in project Billings.

 

She is responsible for all aspects of financial management for the firm alongside the CEO. In 2017, she implemented new accounting software, and in 2018 she was part of the team that transitioned to Deltek Vision and eventually to Deltek Vantagepoint. Lorie also serves as a liaison with all consultants, establishing relationships and managing their financial involvement with numerous projects. She has researched and interviewed engineering firms in Southern California before presenting them to MGPA.

 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

  • Business and Marketing Consultant: Before MGPA, Ms. Culp was a successful business and marketing consultant for over two decades. One of her long-term clients, the Chairman of the Board of a publicly traded international corporation, relied on her expertise for nearly 25 years. In addition, when an unforeseen landslide affected his Southern California home and five other neighboring properties, Lorie took the lead, managing all aspects of the repair, which spanned over three years. She effectively coordinated the efforts of two geotechnical engineering firms, a civil engineering firm, and a structural engineering firm, and the City of San Diego to complete the project.

 

  • International Marketing Corporation: Throughout her consulting career, Ms. Culp worked with an international marketing corporation that conducted investigations for Fortune 500 companies to bring new products to the market. Additionally, she collaborated with an international investor who formed numerous limited partnerships.
